DualForce Labs took part in a briefing hosted by the Miami-Dade County International Trade Consortium, welcoming a delegation from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, DC.

The session focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across defense innovation, cybersecurity, technology, and economic development — areas that are increasingly interconnected in today’s global security and innovation landscape. It was valuable to see Miami positioned as a bridge between international partners, public institutions, and the dual-use technology ecosystem.

Dual Force Labs Inc. has received official approval under the U.S. Department of Defense Joint Certification Program (JCP).

Our DD Form 2345 registration is now active, authorizing access to unclassified export-controlled technical data in support of U.S. and allied defense initiatives. This milestone reflects the completion of our initial security and compliance baseline, including a documented System Security Plan, Single Cloud Enclave architecture, role-based access controls with mandatory MFA, and NIST-aligned internal assessment.

We are grateful for the support and guidance provided by Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami, the Florida APEX Accelerator, and personally Luis G. Batista C.P.M., CPSM and Jesus Padilla at Florida International University throughout this milestone.

We continue developing DualForce as a structured, U.S.-controlled defense technology platform designed for scalable collaboration with primes and allied partners.

This week, the DualForce Labs team was in New York visiting Newlab — one of the U.S. innovation hubs we actively follow and regularly visit.

For us, it’s important to stay inside the ecosystem: to see how deep tech solutions are built and scaled, to meet founders and engineers, and to stay close to where real innovation happens. Newlab stands out as a highly active and productive hub, with a strong community, great networking energy, and a solid acceleration environment.

We were glad to meet the Newlab team in person and to take part in Critical Mass: Continuums, bringing together companies building at the intersection of hardware and software and transforming legacy industries.

It was a pleasure connecting with the teams behind: Birdstop, Caladan Bio, CREW Carbon, Diode Computers, Inc., Icarus Robotics, Kyber Labs, Moth and Vycarb.

Last week, DualForce Labs had the honour of participating in DSEI UK London 2025 — one of the world’s largest defense and security exhibitions, where governments, armed forces, and innovators come together to shape the future of security.

On November 6, DualForce Labs took part in the Defense Tech Dual-Use Start-up Conference organized by Context VC in San Francisco. The event brought together founders, investors, and industry leaders to discuss the current state of defense innovation, the opportunities ahead, and the challenges unique to this fast-evolving sector.

DualForce Labs was represented by its co-founders Denis Belkevich and Jeff Eshleman, who were glad to meet our Tech Diplomacy Advisor Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt, CEO of Tech Diplomacy Network. The conference program was sharp, timely, and full of insight — special thanks to Tim Hsia and the Context VC team for their excellent moderation throughout the day.

Key takeaways:

- VCs are increasingly ready to back defense-tech ventures — but they seek ready-to-deploy (“off-the-shelf”) products that are battle-tested and combat-proven.

- Defense-tech founders often need stronger skills in pitching and product marketing, where traditional tech founders still have an edge — creating room for niche accelerators.

- The term “dual-use” can sound more appealing to investors than “defense”, as it suggests broader go-to-market potential.

- Authentic testing footage and field validation outweigh AI-generated visuals — though such materials are often sensitive and restricted.

- Even an emerging TRL7+ startup can demonstrate more real value than an unproven concept from a tier-1 public company — yet “hot” public names still capture most of the non-specialist investors’ attention.

DualForce Labs was glad to take part in “From Boots to Business”, a community event hosted by the Department of Economic Innovation and Development and organized by the City of Miami.

The gathering brought together Miami’s veteran community to discuss pathways from service to entrepreneurship — a topic that strongly resonates with our work at the intersection of defense, technology, and innovation. We especially value platforms that connect military experience with startup ecosystems, education, and long-term economic development.

This fall, Defense Tech Tuesdays Miami by Lab22c kicked off a roadshow to academic institutions with special programming.

The first stop was Miami Dade College’s Homestead campus at their Idea Center. DualForce Labs partners Denis Belkevich and Jeff Eshleman joined the event, exploring Homestead’s promising opportunities in business development, as well as hosting and production spaces.

We also had fruitful conversations with City Manager Zerry Ihekwaba, PhD, PE, David Knafo from Rapid Innovation Accelerator Miami, and William Renken from 3DChimera.

At DualForce Labs, we continue to connect with local communities, innovators, and institutions to strengthen Miami’s role as a hub for defense tech and dual-use innovation.

On September 4th, DualForce Labs took part in the Roundtable on Powering the Innovation Ecosystem, organized by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The discussion gathered institutional partners from Ukraine, Montenegro, and Serbia together with five distinguished U.S. experts from Cornell University, Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, and leading venture educators.

Denis Belkevich was honored to represent DualForce Labs among Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem partners (alongside YEP Accelerator, U-Nation, Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA)), sharing our perspective on bringing battlefield-proven Ukrainian defense tech into U.S. and allied markets.

DualForce Labs participated in the SOFWERX Small Business Boot Camp SBBC 6 in Tampa — a three-day program focused on navigating the U.S. defense ecosystem, from compliance and government contracting to private capital engagement.

The event brought together over 300 participants, including startups, government representatives, prime contractors, and investors. One of the key takeaways was the openness of the ecosystem: sessions consistently evolved into extended Q&A discussions, providing founders with direct access to practical insights on federal programs, certifications, and operational requirements. Particular attention was given to cybersecurity and compliance — critical entry barriers for any company operating in defense.

The program also highlighted an important shift in perspective: advanced technology alone is not sufficient. Success in the defense sector depends on the ability to translate innovation into clearly defined, user-oriented products and to approach development from a problem-first standpoint.

The final day focused on execution and direct engagement. Through a structured “speed dating” format, DualForce Labs held 23 meetings with representatives from government bodies, prime contractors, and investment funds. The level of organization and efficiency reflected the broader dynamics of the defense sector — highly structured, disciplined, and outcome-driven.

The technologies presented by DualForce Labs generated strong interest, and several conversations are now progressing into deeper discussions. Tampa, in turn, reinforced its position as a growing regional hub for defense tech in the United States.

DualForce Labs has successfully completed its CMMC Level 2 self-assessment.

This milestone confirms that our internal cybersecurity environment is aligned with the requirements of NIST SP 800-171, forming the foundation for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) within U.S. defense workflows.

Our current security baseline includes:
– documented System Security Plan (SSP)
– role-based access controls with mandatory MFA
– isolated cloud enclave architecture
– logging, monitoring, and audit readiness
– internal compliance mapping aligned with CMMC Level 2 controls

This step is part of our broader roadmap to build a fully compliant infrastructure layer for defense technology integration, supporting both internal development and onboarding of third-party dual-use solutions.

From May 18–21 in Tampa, the event will bring together more than 25,000 participants from across the global defense ecosystem: government, primes, investors, operators, engineers, and emerging technology companies.

This week, Abu Dhabi has become a major meeting point for the emerging industrial and technological future of the MENA region. What is happening here goes far beyond a traditional manufacturing exhibition — it is a showcase of sovereign technologies, AI-driven infrastructure, industrial cybersecurity, resilient supply chains, and next-generation industrial ecosystems.

One of the most important trends visible across the forum is the growing focus on technological sovereignty, localization of critical capabilities, secure infrastructure, and dual-use innovation. Governments, industrial leaders, investors, and technology companies are increasingly working together to build long-term, resilient systems capable of operating in a far more complex global environment.

This week, the DualForce Labs team attended SOF Week 2026 by USSOCOM in Tampa, bringing together more than 26,000 industry professionals, government leaders, and special operations representatives from over 100 allied nations.

After dozens of conversations with operators, government buyers, investors, startups, and prime contractors, we came away with seven observations that may shape the next generation of defense innovation:

1. Open architecture is no longer optional.
Government buyers increasingly favor modular systems and interoperable architectures. The expectation is clear: technologies developed by different teams, vendors, and agencies must be able to work together from day one.

2. Prime contractors are investing in tomorrow’s battlefield, not yesterday’s requirements.
The most forward-looking organizations are evaluating technologies based not only on current needs, but on where operational realities will be several years from now. Battlefield lessons learned today are shaping procurement decisions for the future.

3. The market is shifting from hardware-only thinking to hardware + software ecosystems.
A drone, sensor, vehicle, or platform is no longer just a piece of hardware. Its value increasingly depends on the software, data infrastructure, autonomy stack, cybersecurity layer, and integration environment around it.

4. Allied nations are more willing than ever to exchange experience and collaborate.
Across panels, meetings, and private discussions, we saw a strong willingness among partners to learn from one another and share practical lessons. Security challenges are increasingly global, and solutions are becoming collaborative.

5. Modern defense planning is increasingly focused on contested environments.
Whether discussing drones, electronic warfare, cybersecurity, or logistics, many conversations centered on operating effectively inside highly contested zones where traditional assumptions about safety, communication, and mobility no longer apply.

6. Large platforms are gradually giving way to distributed autonomous systems.
The trend is unmistakable: fewer large assets, more networks of smaller, distributed, and often unmanned systems. Resilience through distribution is becoming a core design principle across domains.

7. Partnerships are becoming a competitive advantage.
If another company has already solved a problem better than you have, partnering may create more value than trying to replicate the solution yourself. In a rapidly evolving environment, collaboration often outpaces competition.
